Q

What is the cost of GA?

A
If go through school dental service/SADS, can go through:
Public sector hospitals: free of charge but waiting time of 12-18months
*-No fillings done on anterior caries-->will be taken out instead, D's and E's close to the nerve will also come out
Private hospital (e.g. Glenelg): $1000-1300 for anaesthetist, dentistry is free of charge (waiting 4-6months)-->think of this as semi-private where patient pays for hospital fee privately but dental fees are covered by SADS through the Government

Alternatively can go full private:
-Wait time 2-3 weeks but depends on clinician, $1000-1300 for anaesthetist, dentistry charged separately and depends on procedure but can be covered by private insurance)
