What is the difference between a drug and a medication?
a drug is a chemical agent capable of producing biological responses to a body. it becomes a medication once it is administered.
What are some examples of CAM therapies?
physical therapy, vitamins, acupuncture, hypnosis etc
What is pharmacological classification?
organizing drugs based on the way it works at a molecular, tissue, body system level
What is the diffference between therapeutic and pharmacological classification?
Therapeutic-usefulness of a drug to the body (lowers BP)
Pharm-how it works (blocks hormonal activity)
what is a drug’s mechanism of action?
how a drug produces its physiological affect on the body
What is a prototype drug?
the well-understood drug model with which other drugs in its related class are compared.

3, and they are chemical, generic, trade

the non-proprietary name of the drug, adopted by the U.S Adopted Name Council

proprietary name, brand, product
