Why cannot tetracycline be used during pregnancy?
Tetracycline can cause a permanent discoloration of the teeth and thins out teeth enamel.
It is contraindicated in pregnant women.

- Don’t blink, close eyes for 1m
- Hold nasolacrimal to prevent it spreading systematically
- Wait 10m between 2 types of meds (drops)

Diabetes.
What is a nursing consideration for Acarbose?
Check liver function test.
What is important about Lactulose?
- Used on a patient with liver failure
- Laxative
- Can cause diarrhea
- Decreased ammonia levels
What labs to monitor when taking Spirolactone?
Potassium (Hypokalemia).
Normal value: 3-5.
How does Glucagon work?
Increases blood sugar / Hypoglycemia.
