What is the pH scale?
The concentration of hydrogen ions is measured on a scale called the pH scale. The letters pH refer to the power or concentration of hydrogen ions.
What are the ranges?
Ranges from 1 - 14
pH smaller than 7 (acids)
pH = 7 (neutral)
pH greater than 7 (bases)
What are indicators?
An indicator is a substance that changes colour in the presence of an acid or base.
