Cluster A - Odd
Cluster B - Dramatic
Cluster C - anxious
How do you define a PD?
When you have traits which have been persistant, cause you or others significant distress and are outside of social norms
What is personality?
A set of traits which make up who you are, how you react to the world around you, which are constant throughout life
What are the cluster A PDs?
Think how to describe each of them
Paranoid (self importance, suspicious, jealous)
Schizoid (All alone)
Schizotypal (Bit odd, magical thinking)
What are the cluster B PDs?
Think how to describe each of them
Emotionally Unstable
Histrionic (dramatic, flirty, attention seeking, shallow)
Dissocial (Antisocial, poor relationships, empathy, anger)
What are the cluster C PDs?
Think how to describe each of them
Avoidant (fearful of judgement, socialising, rejection)
Dependent (like a child, always needs someone)
Anankastic (Monica from FRIENDS)

What is the difference between OCD and Anankastic PD?
The obsessions in OCD are egodystonic and cause the person distress whereas anankastic PD likes the order and obsessions
