A
A layer of connective tissue that covers all the organs in the abdomen.

What is the function of the peritoneum?
A
It acts to anchor floppy abdominal organs to the posterior body wall so that they don’t squash each other or move around too much when we jump. It also carries the blood supply to the organs.
