What are Columuns & Groups Called?
A
Columuns = Horizontally & Groups
Periods = Vertically & Rows

Where are the 5 metals & gasses located?
A
Alkali Metals = First row of the whole table
Alkali Earth Metals = 2nd row of the whole table
Transistion Metals = In the middle & and a few after them
Halogens = 2nd last row of the table
Noble Gasses = Last row of the table

What state of matter are the element?
A
Majority of the elements are solid
Some are liquid
Only Chlorine & Fluorine & Noble Gasses are gas at room temp

Do all periodic tables have 8 groups?
A
No some have 18 because the count each transition metal group as one & some use romanian values/numbering system
