Performance Flashcards
On an ACARS landing report, what does a W next to a runway length value indicate?
A WIND component was used to calculate that number.
On an ACARS landing report, what does an asterisk (*) next to a landing distance or weight limit value indicate?
Conditions exceed limitations. The landing distance calculated is longer than the available runway length. For a landing weight the weight exceeds the performance limited landing weight.
On an ACARS landing report, what does a dash (-) next to an unfactored landing distance or weight limit mean?
A dash indicates the data does not exceed limits but the factored distance would exceed runway length available.
What does ‘unfactored’ mean in regard to landing data?
Unfactored is precisely flown without any additives applied for additional speed, long landings, delays in braking, or contamination. It is the ‘test pilot profile’
What does Factored landing distance mean?
Factored landing data applies a safety factor to the landing distance for a margin of error.
What does an X next to a landing distance or weight limit mean on an ACARS report?
The value exceeds XW limits.
What does a T indicate on an ACARS report?
The tailwind component exceeds limits.
What does a pound (#) symbol mean next to a runway condition or autobrake value?
The setting was part of the request.
ACARS data is predicated with the aircraft landing within the first _________ of runway.
(Not including AIII)
