Q

What are the cons of DME-M?

A

You have to listen to the module to rate, is awkward in clinical setting.

Hard to compare among different people’s scales since they are individual (have to do complicated math)

Q

What are some factors that influence the judgement of hypernasality?

A

–nasality sounds more prominent on high vowels, positive nasal flutter, increases in perception with articulation errors, more prominent to perception on voiced consonants (see perception slide 10 for more)
