What are the rules for Upper GI series:

A

1.) the client is NPO PAST MIDNIGHT

3) No smoking, chewing gum, or mints. Remove the nicotine patch, too. Because this will increase stomach motility­
•Smoking increases stomach __ motility_ which will affect the test, and
