INN- SUPERIOR glut nerve (L5,S1)
A- abduct & medially rotate thigh
Gluteus Maximus
O- posterior ilium to post glut line, sacrum, coccyx, sacrotuberous lig
I- IBT, some in the gluteal tuberosity
INN- inferior gluteal nerve (L5,S1,S2)
A- extend thigh, assists w lat rotation, sit to stand
Gluteus minimus
O- ext surface of ilium (b/t ant & post gluteal line)
I- ANTERIOR surface of greater troch
INN-SUPERIOR gluteal nerve (L5,S1)
A- abduct & medially rotate thigh, stabilize pelvis
Tensor Fascia Latae
O- ANTERIOR iliac crest (sup of ASIS)
I- ANTERIOR part of ITB
INN- superior gluteal nerve (L5,S1)
A- flex, medially rotate, abducts thigh/ stabilize pelvis
Piriformis
O- ANT surface of sacrum, sacrotuberous lig
I- SUPERIOR border greater trochanter
INN- branches of ant rami S1,S2
A- laterally rotates thigh, abducts thigh when knee is bent
Superior Gemellus
O- ischial spine I- medial surface of g troch INN- (L5,S1) A- standing:laterally rotates thigh Knee bent: abducts thigh
OBTURATOR Internus
O- OBTURATOR membrane I- g troch , trochanteric fossa INN- (L5,S1) A- standing: lat rotate thigh Knee bent: abducts thigh
