Urinary incontinence education: what to say

A

definition: involuntary loss of urine

Education:
- increase water intake
- decrease caffeine + alcohol
- avoid constipation
- contract pelvic floor before and during activity
- Use a urine diary (5-8x per day)
- avoid constipation
