Can extend beyond bone into soft tissues and disseminates through bloodstream, typically to lung
Common presenting complaint: pain. May be swelling, warmth, or redness. If lungs are affected then pulm symptoms.
Diagnosis: tissue biopsy.
Tx: surgery (limb salvage), multiagent chemo/radiation. Long term survival rate 5-10year survival
how to identify osteosarcoma in children?
often present with pain in the affected bone
what is enterobiasis?
pinworm infections from hand-mouth transmission
what is the treatment for enterobiasis?
2 doses of medication 2 weeks apart; tx all members of family/classmates simultaneously!

Albendazole 400mg PO x 1 dose
what is the role of prostaglandin in transposition of the great vessel?
to produce vasodilation and provide adequate oxygen
** prostaglandin slows the closing of ductus arteriosus and PFO allowing O2 blood to cross from pulm circulation to systemic
