Q

Peabody Developmental Motor Scales, 2nd edition (PDMS-2) administration

A

Up to 3 points are allowed for each item (administer a retrial if child scores a 0 or 1)
Entry point of test it determined based on chronological age
- Exception: Reflexes subtest (Only administer if child is under the age of 1 year and always start at item #1)
Items are rated 0 (unable to complete), 1 (partial completion), or 2 (completion)
Basal level is determined when child receives 2 points on 3 items in a row
- If you are moving forward the child does not score consecutive 2s in a row, go backward until they do
Ceiling is determined when child scores 3 zeros in a row
- Subtest is stopped at this point
Calculate the total score for the subtest by take the last basal item number and multiply by 2, add remaining points to get the raw score
