A

First, just give normal saline based on dehydration level. Then, when they produce urine, start checking electrolytes and correcting them.

A

Hypokalemia, Hypochloremia, metabolic alkalosis
-Emesis causes a loss of HCl
-Kidneys retain H+ then instead of K+
NPO = withhold food and fluids

A

Painless Lower GI bleed.

What causes a painless lower GI bleed in Meckel’s Diverticulitis?

A

Due to the gastric tissue content din the diverticulum. Bleeding occurs on wall opposite of the Meckel’s.
