What is ranula?
Bluish colored fluctuant swelling below the tongue due to sublingual gland obstruction.
What is the cystic hygroma?
Posterior triangle swelling which trans-illuminate
What is the branching cyst?
Swelling anterior to the sternomastoid (upper part) (2nd pharyngeal)
What is the branchial fistula?
Fistula anterior to sternomastoid (lower part) (failure of cluster of pharyngeal cleft especially the 2nd one)
Treated by: stepladder operation
What is Thyrogossal cyst?
Midline sub-hyoid swelling elevating by protrusion of the tongue and swallowing
Treated by: Sistrunk operation
What is the dermoid cyst?
Midline superhyoid swelling not elevating by protrusion of the tongue and swallowing.
It is subcutaneous
