good for sports which acquire changes in speed

too easy to skip the hard bits
difficult to see how well someone is doing
interval training/high intensity training
periods of work followed by periods of rest, alternating periods of short intense anerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods

burns body fat and cals quickly
easily alterable

extreme work can cause injury
plyometric training
type of training used to increase power, usually uses bounding, jumping or hopping
plyometric training advantages
allows muscles to generate force
improves power
plyometric training disadvantages
high risk of injury
possible stress caused on injury
