General Physical Activity Recommendations- Aerobic Exercise:
150 minutes of moderate-intensity per week
Physical Activity:
ex. leisurely walking to class
Any conscious body movement produced by the skeletal muscles that expends more energy than resting

All major muscle groups at least 2 times per week
General Physical Activity Recommendations- Flexibility Training:
All major muscle groups preferably daily

Reduce extended amounts
Physical Exercise:
any planned and structured physical activity performed to improve or maintain physical fitness
ex. walking briskly while taking the long way to class in hopes of impacting fitness
Physical fitness:
ex. being able to attend and enjoy a spontaneous vigorous hike with friends
Our ability to engage in moderate to vigorous physical activities without undue fatigue
Breathing patterns during resistance training:
good posture
fill up belly, not chest
elevate shoulders
inhale on eccentric phase, exhale on cocentric phase
order of exercises during resistance training:
perform multi-joint before single joint exercises and exercises for the large muscle groups before those for the small muscle groups
Neuromotor exercise/training:
More commonly known as functional training, recommended that we strive to engage in exercises 2-3 days per week.
How stress impacts potential overtraining:
physical stress and other outside stressors lead to exercise dependency

-discover a sustainable physical activity regimen
-try many different types or variations of physical activities

most of our calories burned come primarily from REE, which supports our life-giving functions.
