Unconcious bias
Our brains make quick judgements & assessments of people and situations without realising. Influenced by background, culteral environment & personal experiences
Concious bias
Ones age, gender & religion etc.. are subject to bias. Unconcious biases are social stereotypes about certain groups of people that individuals form outside their concious awareness

Section 24(A) PACE 1984
Any person other than a constable may arrest anyone without warrant anyone in the act of committing an indictable offence OR RGS is committing an indictable offence OR when an indictable offence has been committed anyone who he has RGS is guilty of it or is guilty of the offence
P - physical injury to himself or other
L - loss/damage to property
O - officer not present
D - dissapearence
Offence types
Indictable - power of entry - crown court (start mags), life imp
Eg, murder, robbery, GBH intent, rape
Either way - power of entry - magistrates/crown
Eg, criminal damage, theft, burglary
Summary - no power of entry, magistrates court, , 6 months max sentence, cant attempt
Eg, littering, low level traffic

2. Service of a summons
- A legal document which orders a person to court
- hand it to them personally
- leave it with another person at their last known/usual place of abode
- post it to their last known place of abode
- Warrants
2. Warrant types
- Directs a constable to carry out a specific action on behalf of the courts
- Search warrants - failure to appear
Commitment warrants - traffic offences
Arrest warrants - arrest for an offence
- Lost and found property
2. Passports
- Lost - contact details, full description, approx value, seriel/imei, time/date lost, distinctive features, location lost, poo no., SIGNITURE
- Found - Contact details, date/time found, location found, features, seriel/imei, poo. and occ. no., SIGNITURE
- Passports - chop diagonally top right corner + send to PO BOX 654
