  • We did a feature comparison and a buy vs. build to try to remove my bias
  • Using an external tool won

What are SOC 1 and SOC 2 compliance?

A

SOC = System and Organization Controls

The scope is different: SOC 1 reports focus on financial controls, while SOC 2 reports focus more broadly on availability, security, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy. SOC 1 tests controls that meet the identified control objectives, where SOC 2 identifies and tests controls that meet the criteria

What’s your biggest weakness?

A

I try to find an answer too quickly. I was on college bowl and jeopardy.

Work on it in a number of ways:
1. I love using frameworks when needed - I am a checklist person
2. I feel much more natural asking questions in a brainstorming group
3. I come up with 2-3 solutions to each problem
