Q

what was the procedure?

A
  • Salivation tubes were tied to the cheeks of the dogs to collect saliva
  • When dogs were provided with food only ( UCS) they salivated ( UCR)
  • Before introducing the food, a bell (NS) was rang just before the food was introduced and this happened each time the food was given

Q

How is it generalisable?

A
  • Dogs and human share the same genes and traits so the realists can be generalised
OTOH- study was taken place on dogs so cannot be generalised to humans
