A
- Respond to calls for service, both routine and emergency in nature
- Investigation and accurate reporting of crimes, incidents and conditions
- The arrest of criminal offenders
- prevention of criminal acts, vehicle related violations and accidents, the maintenance of public order, and the discovery of hazardous situations
- The sharing of information with other members of the department, as well as other government agencies
- Crime prevention activités such as residential inspections, business inspections, and community presentations
- Community relations activités such as citizen assists and individual citizen contact of a positive nature
- Application of community policing philosophy to establish partnership with citizens to improve their quality of life and provide a sense of safety and security to the community
