-C5,6 stretched away, occurs in an infant during a difficult delivery
-upper brachial plexus lesion
-nerves that are affected: musculocutaneous, axillary, suprascapular nerve, subclavius nerves
muscles: not able to laterally rotate, supination of the forearm is lost, not able to flex the shoulder, weak flexion of the wrist
supraspinatus, infraspinatus, subclavius, biceps brachii, brachialis, coracobrachiallis, deltoid and trees minor
