Cirrhosis = end stage of liver disease

A
Damage to liver cells = inflam around the liver cells = liver cells regenerate OR healing by fibrosis = cirrhosis

Hepatitis viruses
Alcohol

What are the consequences of cirrhosis?
A
Liver failure as not enough liver tissue
Portal hypertension as not a straight pathway
Ascites as low albumin production = increased BP due to portal hypertension
Hepatocellular cancer
