- AGE:prevalence doubles with each decade after 50 years old..
- Down’s syndrome (Trisomy 21)
- Familial/Genetic (Chromosome 19,21, 14, 1)
- Low education
- Head trauma (can have a protective effect too though)
- smoking
- vascular disease
- diabetes
