Je travaille et j’écoute la radio can be changed into Je travaille en écoutant la radio (I work while listening to the radio).
it means by, while, upon: En arrivant (Upon arriving), En faisant (By doing or making), etc.

Nous form of the present tense minus ons (like the imparfait) add ant: Finiss(ant)
There are three irregulars: avoir, etre, savoir
ayant, étant, sachant
