What does it mean to love black people in terms of love politics?
Loving black people in the context of love-politics is seen as a highly rebellious act. Whether it be black people loving themselves or non-black people loving black people, as a consequence of the intense hatred of black people that America has loving them makes it rebellious
What does same-sex marriage do?
It privatizes sexuality, something that gat and feminist liberationists fought so hard against. It fosters heteronormativity even though it affirms queer life
What is one of the recurring survival strategies of same-sex marriages amongst women?
The main recurring strategy of same-sex marriages amongst women is that fact that, when they are going to get their marriage license, one women will act/look like a man while the other will act/look like a women. This amplifies the heteronormativity of same-sex marriage as one woman plays the part of the groom while the other plays the part of the bride, representing the ideals of heterosexual relationships (or the idea that there is always a “man and a woman” in a relationship)

What are some of the issues that gay, bisexual, and queer trans men meet when trying to meet other men?

As for in person, it is difficult especially for trans men as a consequence of the pressure to “come out” to other men before engaging in sexual activity

What is Jennifer Murphy’s association with HIV?
She was a non-racialized HIV-positive woman who was charged with HIV non-disclosure on three separate occasions. She received widespread media coverage as a consequence, causing her to represent a criminalized woman who did not only commit a crime against the men she slept with but with women in general
What is an “incorrigible slag”?
An incorrigible slag is a working-class woman who did not conform to the dominant gender norms that define “appropriate” middle-class and raced feminine-linked sexual behaviour.
What is Murphy’s connection to being an “incorrigible slag”?
She is connected to this terms because her mass media coverage presents her as a working-class woman who does not conform to gender roles. Her association with the working-class also establishes this idea that she cannot and does not subscribe to middle-class gender norms, diminishing her behaviour to her lack of femininity to her working-class woman status
