Define quantitative data
Numerical. In the form of numbers, gathered by collecting individual scores from
participants. Often gained from large scale experiments and questionnaires.
Name one strength and one weakness of quantitative data
Strengths: Can be analyzed statistically and converted into graphs and summarized, objective,
Precise, Reliable, Measures behaviors.
Weaknesses: Often collected artificially, Lacks validity
Define qualitative data
Non Numerical. In the form of words, transcripts of interviews, unstructured observations,
case studies.

Strengths:Rich and detailed, High Validity: Often collected in real life setting
Weaknesses: Low reliability, Imprecise, Subjective
