External carotid artery.
Auriculotemporal nerve & Deep parotid lymph nodes.
Parotid gland is 5 cm long, it arises from which border of gland ?
Anterior border
Parotid duct passes forwards over which muscle ? then pierces in which muscle ?
passes forwards over Masseter muscle, then pierces Buccinator muscle
parotid duct opens into where in mouth?
opposite to Upper second molar tooth
Parotid gland Arterial supply from:
External carotid artery
Parotid gland Venous drainage into:
Retromandibular vein
Nerve supply :
sensory capsule & parenchyma
sensory capsule from Great auricular nerve,
parenchyma from Auriculotemporal nerve
Nerve supply :
symphatic & parasympathetic
sympathetic from Plexus around external carotid artery,
parasympathetic from glossopharyngeal nerve & realy into otic ganglion
