What is the difference between direct and indirect costs of parenting?
Direct costs are clothing, food, and childcare costs. Indirect cost of parenting could be declining a job opportunity because it can affect family life, or having to stay home to raise a child.

Guidance is helping the child learn a behavior, so it could come from modeling from others. Discipline is the technique used for self-control.
