A

1.) early, localized, flu like symptoms, bulls eye rash, appears 3 days to 1 month
2.) bacteria enter bloodstream, numb extremities, stick neck, facial paralysis, 2 weeks to 3 months after
3.) persistent infection, painful arthritis,meningitis, severe headaches, irregular heart rhythm, develops weeks to years
-rash, serology
-antibiotics
-no vaccine, insect repellent, tick check

- cysts live in environment for months
-humans and almost all animals are carriers
-found in water dirt feces
- fecal to oral transmission
-direct smear, serology, rapid snap test
-treatment not always needed, antibiotics, disinfecting
