Q

What did the wild period cause and allow for argument?

A

the ‘wild period’ of 1912 allows the argument that their campaigning did more harm than good. Pankhursts actions during the ‘wild period’ initiated a split within the suffrage movement with many suffragists beginning to get angry with the suffragettes, and even suffragettes disagreeing with Pankursts actions - which ultimately led to many women leaving the WSPU after 1911 and by 1914 there was very little suffragettes still campaigning.
