A
- reddish-orange scaling plaques w palmoplantar keratoderma and follicular keratotic papules
- AD
- type 1- classic adult tyoe (80%)- red brown plaques w islands of sparing

Cutaneous T cell lymphoma
A
- CD 4 cells
- > 50 yo; M 27x > F
- scaling plaques- mimic eczema!!!
- itchy
- red-brown
- check for LAD!
- patch, plaque, tumor
- mycosis fungoides
- sezary’s syndrome

Discoid lupus erythematosus
A
- scarring atrophic photosensitizing dermatosis
- 20-40 yo
- heat shock protein induced by UV light
- most asx
- be aware of SLE sx’s
- malignant transformations (SCC) can occur in chronic lesions

A
- erythematous papule or plaque w modest amt of scale
- scarring plaque!!!
- mucosal, palms, soles

Drug eruption
A
- anything can cause a rash!!
- 2 wks after new meds
- immunocompromised- 10x inc
- type 1- classic immediate hypersensitivity (urticaria)
- type II- cytotoxic
- type III- cell-mediated immune complex
- type IV- delayed hypersensitivity
