What shouldn’t you do in q2?

A
  • analyse language or the effect on audience
  • summarise means ‘retelling in your own words’
    • points need to be backed up with quotations, but you don’t need to analyse the words themselves
    • just choose quotations to back up your points
  • need to summarise the difference between the sources

What is the key to gaining full marks?

  • perceptive answer
    • less obvious things, most people will not notice
    • look for implicit differences
      • the differences we can tease out with careful study
