A
Extremely low-lying.

What were the physical causes of the flood?
A
Jet streams-high level winds caused low pressure with wind and rain. 12 major storms and severe gales.

What were the human causes of the flood?
A
They cut the pay on dredging which caused the floods, levees can make the problem worse by raising the river bed further as the river naturally adjusts to its new channel banks.

What of the future?
A
Greater storminess, higher long-lasting floods and higher spring tides. More storm surges.
