Acute onset persistent abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting, pain radiates to back, poor appetite, constant, pain somewhat decreased with leaning forward, +/- febrile, may have hx of alcohol, gallstones, cholesterole problems

How do you treat pancreatitis

A

NPO, hydration with normal saline or LR (6-12 L in first 24 hours) , pain control, antibiotics (if needed), enteral nutrition (if needed)
