Usually recover in 3-5 days

Progressive inflammatory changes generally caused by alcoholism
Chronic pancreatitis S/S
Chronic abd pain
Pancreatic insufficiency
Steatorrhea
Pancreatic diabetes
Pancreatic cancer
4th leading cause of cancer death in US.
Poor prognosis
Caused by smoking, chronic pancreatitis, DM, old age
Pancreatic cancer S/S
Painless jaundice with weight loss.
Abdominal mass, ascites
Supraclavicular node
Tumor marker for pancreatic cancer
