PAINLESS OBSTRUCTIVE JAUNDICE:
pale stools, dark urine, itching
Weight loss
Palpable mass in epigastrium
Upper abdo or back pain
Change in bowel habit
NV
New onset diabetes or sudden worsening type 2 diabetes
When can GP refer for a direct access CT abdomen?
Weight loss plus any of:
Diarrhoea
Back pain
Abdominal pain
Nausea
Vomiting
Constipation
New-onset diabetes
What is Courvoisiers law?
Palpable GB along with jaundice is unlikely to be gallstones
What is Trousseaus sign?
Migratory thrombophlebitis as a sign of malignancy

Surgical operation to remove a tumour of the head of the pancreas that hasn’t spread
