Why does the right kidney lie lower than the left kidney?
Due to the liver pushing down
Where is the adrenal glands located?
The superior pole of the kidneys
The right adrenal glands is triangular, while the left adrenal gland is crescent shaped

L1 – the transpyloric plane
What arteries supply the kidneys?
Arteries from the abdominal aorta and phrenic arteries which supply the diagram
Describe the blood supply of the adrenal glands

Each adrenal gland is supplied by a superior and middle adrenal artery arising directly from the aorta or the inferior phrenic arteries, and the inferior adrenal artery which arises from the renal artery
Venous drainage is by a single adrenal vein on each side. The right adrenal vein into the inferior vena cava and left one into the renal vein
What level does the pancreas lie at?
The pancreas lies across the posterior part of the abdomen at the level OF L1 and L2. It has a lobulated, typically granulated appearance.
What are the branches of the coeliac trunk?
The first major branch of the abdominal aorta is the coeliac trunk, which gives off three branches, including the splenic artery, the left gastric and the splenic artery
What does the middle of the pancreas contain?

The middle the pancreas contains the exocrine secretions, digestive enzymes, which passes through the pancreatic duct to the duodenum. It forms the hepatopancreatic ampulla and units with the common bile duct. And enters at the papilla. There is also an accessory pancreatic duct in the middle that opens at the minor duodenal papilla
What does the unicate process wrap around?
What is the unicate process supplied by?
The pancreas wraps around a large vascular bundle, projects inferiorly as the uncinate process. These include the super mesenteric artery and the super mesenteric vein
