A
place heel of hand parallel to left sternal edge. if heaves re present heel of hand will be lifted with each systole

what does the presence of parasternal heaves indicate
A
right ventricular hypertrophy

how to palpate for thrills
A
place hand horizontally across the chest wall over each heart valve in turn. the thrill is a palpable murmer
