represents 2000 members from over 75 countries - campaigns to raise awareness of the production of palm oil using more sustainable methods
green palm certificates
issuing of green palm certificates to producers can reduce costs
producers then sell their certificates to the tnc’s
ngo’s criticism
say that organutan populations remain under threat from large scale producers that still drain peatlands
what can we do?
despite being established in 2004, only around 20% of palm oil produced is certified by RSPO remaining 80% isnt but could be
respecting land and forest rights
interlaken group is made up of mny stakeholders including nestle coca cola - the group developed a guide to help companies do their part to respect local land and forest rights

- no longer have plants needed to cure themselves
- before they only walked half an hour to get resources now they have to walk half a day
