Gabapentinoids - neuropathic pain
- bind to A2 delta subunit on calcium channels
- decrease Ca influx into pre-synaptic neuron
- therefore decrease release of neurotransmitters

Amitriptyline + Duloxetine class + MOA

A

Amitriptyline = TCAs
Duloxetine = SNRIs
- inhibition of synaptic noradrenaline + serotonin reuptake
- therefore strengthens pain modulation
