Paracetamol 15mg/kg oral

Based on 120mg/5mL presentation

2. What is the Rx for Moderate pain paeds?

Answer 2

Fentanyl IN - repeat initial dose at 5-10/60, consult after 3 doses; consult RCH for child <10kg
- Small 10-17kg: 25mcg
- Medium 18-39kg: 25-50mcg
Consider paracetamol in addition
Moderate to severe procedural pain: Methoxy 3mL, repeat

3. What is the paed IM Morphine dose?

0.1 mg/kg - single dose only, max dose of 5mg
