- When is a child/infant deemed to be in cardiac arrest?
A
Unresponsive, not breathing normally and:
- Pulseless
- HR < 40 children
- HR < 60 infants

- What is the ratio of compressions to ventilations for paeds?
A
- No ETT/SGA: 15:2 - pause for ventilations (30:2 single rescuer)
- ETT/SGA in situ: 10 ventilation/min, no pause

- What ages and weight are the Paediatric pads used for?
A
Up to and including 8 years, <25kg
