Greenstick fractures
-where one side of the bone breaks but other side remains intact
Due to more spongy and highly vascularised bone

A
Can cause issues with growth in that bone
Graded via salter harris classification

What are the principles of management in paediatric fractures?
A
Consider safeguarding
Must achieved mechanical alignment of fracture by closed or open reduction
Second principle- relative stability for period of time to allow healing
pain management
