Clinical presentation of tinea capitis?
A
Scaly patches of alopecia, pruritus, lymphadenopathy, broken hairs, comma hair and corkscrew hairs on dermoscopy
Black dots (broken hair follicles)

Clinical presentation of alopecia areata?
A
Circular patch with normal appearing scalp skin. Exclamation point hairs, yellow dots and black dots

Clinical presentation of tract alopecia?
A
Most commonly presents with frontotemporal hair loss

Trichotillomania?
A
Compulsion to pull or pluck hair

Telogen effluvium?
A
Shedding of hair approximately 3 months after an inciting event - medical illness, stress, medication, nutritional disorder
