A
17
Q

How to place doughy POMA into flask?

A

Roll into a sashes shake and cover mould with other half of flask

18
Q

What machine is used to press the flak?

A

Pneumatic press

19
Q

How do you add pressure to the flaks in the pneumatic press?

A

Twist handle to secure flasks

Slowly apply pressure to the pump handle

20
Q

How do you slowly apply pressure to flasks?

A

Pump pressure handle a few tie and leave for 45 seconds

Repeat process

21
Q

After pneumatic press - what is happening here?

A

Wax knife used to remove most of the excess resin

Leaving only a rim of around 5 mm around denture

22
Q

Do you related the press procedure after removing excess acrylic?

A

Yes. Ever to apply more sodium alginate and remove separating sheets

23
Q

Do you fully tighten the flaks here?

A

No

Release pressure by quarter turn

24
Q

Why do you not fully tighten flasks here?

A

Release pressure slightly by quarter turn

Accommodate for initial expansion in water bath

25
Q

What is this called?

A

Spring clamp

26
Q

What are the flasks in the sling co placed in?

A

Water bath - 72 Celsius 16 hours

Or dry heat processor - run overnight

27
Q

Water bath temp for setting acrylic?

A

72 dc 16 hours

28
Q

How long does the dry heat processor run?

A

Overnight
