What does PRC stand for?
Performance review of command function.
What is a PRC?
Analytical process that allows incident commanders and monitoring officers to discuss review, Analyse and evaluate all aspects of their time in command.
When will a PRC be held?
Within 28 days of the incident for any incidents 6 pumps and above.
Other incidents and training at DAC discretion.
Any incident SAI has been involved.
How many principles are there for a plc?

What is defined as a PRC?
Structured chaired forum.
Provide a constructive and supportive environment within which the performance of command function can be discussed.
What are the objectives of a PRC?
Identify good practice by an individual or team so organisational performance may be improved. Feedback from managers, individuals and organisation.
Who will attend a PRC?
Chaired by a nominated independent officer who did not attend the incident.
All incident commanders up to and when the stop was sent.
Monitoring officer at time of stop.
SAI if accident occurred.
ORT.
Any other officers who had key roles in the command of the incident.
If 12 pumps or more control representative should be invited.
Within how many days should a PRC take place?
28 days.
Who organises the PRC?
The first attending station commander.
What should the organising officer produce?
A scene setting package/booklet.
For incidents 10 pumps and below who can be chairperson?
Group commander
For incidents 10 pumps and above who is chairperson?
DAC
Who can defer or cancel a PRC?
Discretion of a DAC, ICP, or 0RT if it could affect the outcome of any accident or discipline investigation.
What is the minimum timeframe for a PRC?
3 Hours
Who can present learning points from a PRC?
Chairperson and 0RT.
