Oxygen Flashcards
3 Methods to read PSI information?
Electronic
- ECAM/EICAS
-External Filling Connection
Analog
- Direct Reading Pressure Gauge
What is frangible disc?
It is an indication when there’s an overpressure in oxygen bottles and we need to check each bottle gauge to know which bottle causes to discharge the disc
When is REGUL LO PR indication shows
on ECAM/EICAS?
Appears incase of oxygen low pressure (50 PSI) detected on the low pressure circuit
When is microphone ready to use in the
flight crew oxygen mask?
A pressure switch connected to the
supply valve allows the microphone to be used while the oxygen system is in use
What are the three operating modes of
Diluter Demand Regulator?
Normal, 100% Oxygen, and Emergency
Who send the signal of Lo PSI to the Lo PSI Manifold?
Pressure S/W on the Lo PSI Manifold
What does Yellow Indicator mean?
It indicates if the Frangible Disc fractures
100% mode means?
Only 100% pure oxygen is supplied to the flight crew oxygen masks
Where is the Crew Oxygen Cylinders located?
Either on the Avionics Compartment or FWD Cargo Compartment
Where is the Passenger Oxygen Cylinders located?
Aft Cargo Compartment
Two ways to activate the oxygen masks?
Either by pushing the Mask Man On
S/W manually or automatically deployment when 14.000 ft cabin altitude is reached
Purpose of the Voltage Averaging Unit (VAU)?
It is used to gather more than one pressure information when there’s multiple oxygen bottles to show their average PSI to the EICAS (Status Page) or ECAM (Door/Oxy Page)
Stowage boxes of Chemical Oxygen Supply system?
Emergency Oxygen Containers (EOC)
Stowage boxes of Gaseous Oxygen Supply system?
Passenger Service Unit (PSU)
What component is added to the Gaseous type oxygen supply system?
Flow Control Unit (FCU)
