what are ligaments?
supports joints, connects one bone to another or joins bone to cartilage
what is a cartilaginous joint?
a joint that connects bone to cartilage and only allows slight movement
what is a fibrous joint?
joints that are inflexible layers of dense connective tissue and holds bones tightly together
what is a bursa?
a fibrous sac that acts as a cushion to ease movement in areas with a lot of friction
